6/21/99- Shredder X drew Ferret in a playoff match to become the 1999 World Computer Chess Champion!! Due to the Buchholz evaluation the title was awarded to Shredder. During the 7 round tournament Shredder X collected impressive wins vs. Rebel, Fritz and the defending champion, Junior. Congratulations Stefan!

4/9/99- False rumors
There have been some false rumors circulating about the Shredder 3 being no longer produced or supported. THIS IS NOT TRUE. I was in contact with Stefan(author of Shredder) this morning and his exact reply to this was "Shredder3 sales will be continued and there will also be a successor with the Shredder GUI. " Another concern of current and future Shredder owners is that the product will not be supported. If you have any questions or feedback regarding Shredder please feel free to email me and if I cannot help you the question will be forwarded to Stefan.
